The attraction was strong, but I had resisted it for sooo long. But then weaknesses came to light...and money was requested...and the attraction was becoming stronger and stronger and it was looking better and better. Then I found a fellow blogger, BENWAY, who so kindly offered to provide me assistance if I needed it (and I did!!!). So, it's offical, I have broken it off with Livejournal. I am now over at blogspot. Come join me please...:

I hope you will come visit me there.

4:55 pm - And so it begins
I am not going into controversial statements here about impending war and the such, but I just had to say that our department alone has had four reserves called into active duty. 1 is a desktop technician, 1 is a network engineer, 1 is a web services specialist and one is my coworker who is the same thing as me. Two have been called into active duty for at least a year, and two have been called into active duty for at least six months. These are these people's daytime jobs and has nothing to do with what they may or maynot do in their particular branches of the reserves. One of them came up to me and quietly said "I don't want to go."

2:54 pm - Again...
Another power outage. Yesterday the power was until 8:00 pm...today it was out for about 10 minutes. Urg....I am just glad my iBook is fully charged! Yippee. Now I have to hear the fire alarm chirp for the rest of the day and I already had a headache to begin with.
I feel like I may be coming down with something. I dunno...this headache...and I am just tired. It is bad. Bleck.
At least ANGEL is on tonight. From the previews it looks like he goes GRRy again...but this time on purpose. And I can't wait for a regular episode of THE MOLE. Celebrity Mole is boring frankly now that the good celebrities have been executed...I think that Frederick is the Mole. In case you are wondering. I feel that she has been the one flying lowest under the radar...that is why I think Frederick is the mole.
I have made the decision...I will announce it here later with the address and everything once I have it up and going completely...but I am leaving LiveJournal for blogspot. I have used livejournal for a long time...but now it is time to say our fairwells because we have grown apart. Frankly, I have matured and livejournal has limitations that I no longer want to live with...I have seen the blogspot light and I will be walking towards it...I am mostly up and running on my new blog- I will let you know all know when I am fully up and running over at my new journal and I hope you will all follow me there.

3:05 pm - How lucky I am...
I am sitting in one of two buildings on campus that have power (the other being the police station of course). No one knows what has happened....but we find it all to be a big coincidence that there are a buttload of fire trucks down the street-all under the power lines by a new building....but the power went out and it went out hard....I bet we won't be getting a lot of incoming calls about computer problems...mainly because they can't use their darn computers...hahahaha I laugh in the face of it....it is kind of fun actually.
My affair with blogspot is continuing as I am working hard to tweak it to my liking...with a lot of help from Benway who is kind enough to be helping me by putting the damn stuff in english and not techese...
Bon Jovi tickets arrived yesterday and I nearly ripped the envelope in half thinking it was junk mail...hmmm. Damnation. Thank goodness I didn't...it was so plain with no return address...I guess Ticketmaster was worried my mail man might decide he wanted to see Bon Jovi.
The power is still out...it has been out for like 20 minutes now...that is a long outage.
I might go get a new cell phone today...heeheehee...I am cell phone hungry....I hate my pos phone.

10:52 am - My favorite song for the moment:
Blue jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band
Pretty eyed, pirate smile, you'll marry a music man
Ballerina, you must have seen her dancing in the sand
And now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand

Jesus freaks out in the street
Handing tickets out for God
Turning back she just laughs
The boulevard is not that bad

Piano man he makes his stand
In the auditorium
Looking on she sings the songs
The words she knows, the tune she hums

But oh how it feels so real
Lying here with no one near
Only you and you can't hear me
When I say softly, slowly

Hold me closer tiny dancer
Count the headlights on the highway
Lay me down in sheets of linen
you had a busy day today

Blue jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band
Pretty eyed, pirate smile, you'll marry a music man
Ballerina, you must have seen her dancing in the sand
And now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand

9:58 am - sad but true
I have been cheating on livejournal...ha. I am goofing around with blogspot/blogger. Right now it is just a silly journal full of posts that say things like: test, a new template, stuff like this. If I can work this out though...I think I will be moving over...hopefully sooner than later...I just am able to do more stuff with it than I can here...

4:01 pm - Work n Stuff
Work is incredibly busy...it is weird how we can go from completely dead to screamingly busy...but that is how it works here...and now we will be busy at a blistering pace for weeks.
I may be coming down with something...or it could just be that I am stressed.
Toyota is pissing me off...they never called to tell me about my car...here is the story: I get a call from them on Friday stating that when I turned my lease into a finance, they whoops forgot I had have the car smogged and could I please bring it in asap to do this...I made arrangements to bring it in this morning. They have had it since 7:30 and were suppose to call me when it was done. It is now 4:06 pm and I have not heard from them.Oy
I may be extremely forward later today....I will explain later.

9:23 am - When it is time for change...
It is time for change.

I get in this mood every now and again...I really really want a change. One thing I have done is: I got new license plates. My personalized plates currently say: BK2RLTY. They will now say BADGRUV.

Second thing I plan to do for change: I am getting a new cell phone. I have to wait to get my tax return for this but I can't stand my Kyrocera phone that I have...so I am getting a motorola v60i. I have a coworker who has this phone and it is nice...

Something that I want to do for change...is move my blog. It is somthing that I have been wanting to do for awhile...I even tinkered with moving it and it fell through. I am thinking about moving it to blogspot...I really want somewhere where I actually have control over the design...but then again...I would need help with that too...since I fairly much suck at design...but then again...it would be a learning experience....I dunno though...I will let you all know if I finally do it.

current mood: contemplative

4:51 pm - Little juicy bits
BFM is carrying on online with some guy...I just hope she's careful...
I am working on my webpage...please don't look at it now...right now it is all broken. It will probably be fixed next week sometime...I just got done redoing all the pictures...it is going to be organized completely different. THANK GOD FOR ADOBE PHOTOSHOP WEB GALLERY and what my hacked up webpage coding.
I am upset about work again...about my pay...about my classification...about our recent hire's pay (I don't hold it against him...it's not his fault). I am upset that I have been stuck in the same classification for three years. I am upset that our new hire makes $60 more than I and he is a new hire...I am upset...it's not nice.
I will be going to the SSA office tomorrow morning to fix this stupid mistake on my social security records...I am hoping to be out by 11:00. We'll see. It sucks. I have taken the whole day off :)

12:14 pm - weekend updates
Ok...I am in tax hell...today I tried to efile for the first time and my return was reject by the IRS because apparently my ssn and bdate don't match. So I called up the SSA and found out that I have to fill out a form, bring two forms of picture id, my real birth certificate (which I am not sure I even own) and a promissary note for my first born child should I have one to the damn ssa office in town to get that fixed. Their stupid hours are 9-4 monday through friday...which also sucks because I work...so I don't know when I am going to get to go to fix this. Now I am worried that my state taxes won't file either...grrr.
BFM got some bad car news on Monday morning. She took her car to AAMCO and was told that the evil noise and slipping she was feeling was a bad tranny and it needed to be rebuilt. It would take 4 days and $1900 to fix. She told them she couldn't afford it and that she would pick it up. She picked it up not sure what to do as she still owed 3400 on it and it is only worth 3700 and putting 1800 into a car that she has hated for years didn't seem practical. Her granny gave her a check for 1800 to fix the car but she took grannys money to the honda dealership and walked out several hours later without her much hated NEON and with a brand new fully stacked honda civic. I am happy for her because she HATED that damn NEON and had for years. The guy at AAMCO told her that Chrysler's have a lot of transmission problems.
I did not have to go report for jury duty today...but I have to call back in after 5:00 today...or check their website...or you can check it for me...GO HERE and click the top radio button and imput group number 32 to find out if I will be reporting for jury duty tomoorw...this must be done after 5:00 PM pst.

9:20 am - The POST birthday update
Right now I am sitting here at my desk at work drinking cranberry juice...because we were out of Orange....oh well. Ok-welp...I am now a year older than I was two days ago...first I want to thank both Tess and Matron for the happy birthday comments!!!!Now...onto the birthday post:

Yesterday was a great day. Ok- well not great because it was tuesday and who can say that tuesdays are great, when really they are just mondays in disguise...but all things considering, it was a great day. I took part of the day off, got razzed by the student assistants who said I was leaving to get a good spot in the shuffle board tournament at the old folks home...ya...ha...but they too will turn this old...in like 6 or 7 years.

I got a bouquet of balloons from BFM....which was uber sweet of her since she had already given me my presents on Saturday. My parents gave me some more presents which was sweet since they had already given me my present on Friday. My mother prepared the trational birthday meal of homemade barbequed hamburgers and a dessert of homemade brownies (they are REALLY good brownies!). It was a great meal with my parents, BFM and my brother...the only one missing was my sisterinlaw...who unfortunately had to work so that was a bummer...but it was great fun anyway. My brother said as he sat down to break hamburger buns with us all "We have a present for you....but you know the rules...Marie has to be present for you to open the present" Heeee...I LOVE my sisterinlaw...really I do...but I bet she fights me over opening the present...she loves opening presents THAT much. So...without further ado...the part I know you are all waiting for...the birthday present list...(I am warning you...it is boring):
1. From BFM: STAR by BCBG Girl (parfum), A bugs bunny mug, a great dinner mentioned before, a bath fortune cookie, a dreams have wings ornament, three more charms for my charm bracelet (a chili pepper, a birthday cake and a music note). I also receieved a cute note pad AND a bouquet of balloons that were great amusement because ROXY was scared of them and get barking at them...I finally had to hide them in my dad's computer room during dinner so she wouldn't bark all night.
2. From Parents: Transmission service on my car. This was given to me on Friday. Also I got a bottle that looks like a pill bottle but it is filled with candy and says they are COMPUTER ANTIVIRUS PILLS, a Fairy from the Dezine collection, and a pair of socks.

So that is it and remember cranberrys are sour.

8:45 am - Bloggin Lovefest....
Ok...yesterday I was surfing for new blogs and found someone who has deemed today Bloggin Lovefest Day. The rules are simple...you express love and kind words for your favorite blog/blogger in 1500 words or less....This has been very very hard for me to narrow down because I have five or six must read nearly everyday or suffer from withdrawl blogs....so...I have narrowed it down to:

TESS. Tess rocks because it was actually her that got me drawn in to the world of blogging. I was beginning to tinker at it...and Tess is someone I knew way back when you kept in touch with people using these archaic things called envelopes and stamps....I don't even remember really how we met...but we did....and drifted apart and then low and behold...I found out about tess's blog right about the time I was starting to get curious about blogs myself...so she had kind words for me...encouragement...and also encouragement by example. Tess is an incredible writer...funny, witty, sacastic...all the good things I strive to be...If I wander away from my blog for an unexplained amount of time Tess is usually the one leaving me messages like I WANT MY AMY BACK AMY BACK....and other encouragement. Also I feel that through blogging I have been able to get back in touch with Tess...my long lost friend. So I dedicate my Bloggin'Love Fest entry to Tess.
There were runners up though....they are:

Benway because he is a great writer- I love his blog, I love his sardonic nature and I learn alot of techy stuff from reading his blog. Plus I rather enjoyed reading his fictional writings he's posted.

Uncle Bob. I have four words about Uncle Bob: HE IS Freaking Funny.

Matron. Relatively new to blogging....I love matron because she is funny and very real, very easy to relate to...

BOB the Corgi. This is one of my newest reads...but I really enjoy it so far.

current mood: thankful
